CHANUTE — Allen County Community College’s men’s basketball team had a rough go of it over the weekend.
The Red Devils dropped both of its games in the NCCC Panther Classic hosted by Neosho County Community College.
Allen County hit only 1 of 23 three-point attempts Saturday in a 64-60 overtime loss to Pratt Community College.
The Red Devils led 24-22 at the half before Pratt forced overtime at 57-57, then outscored ACCC 7-3 in the extra period.
Terrell Shears led the Red Devils with 19 points and 11 rebounds.
Drelan Tripplett added 10 points and 10 boards before fouling out for ACCC. Rickey Hollis and Michael Anderson scored nine and eight points, respectively.
Allen County committed 19 turnovers. ACCC hit 19 of 27 free throws.
On Friday, Cloud County Community College defeated the Red Devils 89-62.
Cloud County raced to a 42-30 lead at the break and never looked back.
Shears scored 10 points with 16 boards for the Red Devils. Jeff Romeus had 11 points, while Thomas Daniel scored nine. Hollis dished out four assists.
The Red Devils play at home Tuesday evening against Hutchinson Community College. Tipoff is at 7 p.m.
