| Academics and athletics go hand-in-hand at Allen County Community College. The 2009-2010 Allen County volleyball team has been named one of the 2009 NJCAA Academic Teams of the Year. The Red Devils were seventh in the nation and second in the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference with a 3.51 team grade point average (GPA). Seven ACCC volleyball players were named to the 2009 KJCCC All-Academic Volleyball Team as they had a 3.5 or better GPA for the fall semester. Those receiving the honor are Suzie Fields, Jennifer House, Mindi Lozenski, Andra Miller, all with 4.0 GPAs, Mandy Hug, 3.83, Misty Powelson, 3.77, and Nichole Rockhold, 3.67.
