ACC women’s soccer wraps up regular season

CHANUTE — In their final game of the regular season, the Lady Red Devils recorded their best overall performance of the year.
Allen Community College (9-9, 5-6) defeated Neosho Community College 24-0 on Saturday.
It was the Lady Red Devils’ biggest blowout of the season, by far. In fact, Allen scored more goals Saturday than it did in its previous 10 games combined (21).
Five different players had tricks, including goalie Emilee Mitchell who also recorded her seventh shutout of the year.
Hailey Melin, Rachel Nincehelser and Rebecca Yusuf all had four goals on the day. Payton Huckabay recorded three.
Shea Meyers scored two goals while Amalia Miranda-Cortez, Shekinah Flores, Hannah Wells and Jamie Cronister each finished with one goal.
With the impressive victory, Allen finished sixth in the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference.
The Lady Red Devils will kick off postseason play Saturday when they face off against Hutchinson at 1 p.m.
