The Lady Devil softball team fell to Hesston in both games on Thursday 12-3 and 8-7.
The Allen women fall to 5-18 overall and 1-3 in KJCCC play.
Hesston got up 6-0 in the second inning of game one before the Lady Devils answered back with a three-run bottom of the second.
Two runs in the third and four more in the fourth did the Lady Devils in. The game ended at 12-3 after five innings.
Sophomore Chelsey Henry had the Lady Devils lone hit in the game while starting pitcher Ashtyn Jurging earned the loss after allowing six runs on five hits and six walks in 1.1 innings.
The Lady Devils played from behind for most of game two but after trailing 6-1 heading into the fifth inning, Allen scored two in the bottom of the fifth and four in the bottom of the sixth to take a 7-6 lead.
The Larks responded right away though, scoring runs in the top of the seventh and eighth innings to get the win.
Sophomore catcher Sam Greninger came up big for the Lady Devils, leading the way with three hits followed by two each for Darby Lewis and Lauren Mills.
Greninger also had four RBIs and one of her hits was a home run.
Jurging earned the loss in relief after allowing two runs on five hits and three walks in the last 4.1 innings.
The Lady Devils will head to Chanute on Saturday at 1 and 3 p.m. to take on Neosho County before returning on Monday to face Independence at 2 and 4 p.m.
