PITTSBURG — A pair of local Special Olympics groups were at Pittsburg State University last week for their respective track and field meets.
On April 19, Iola Special Olympics members were at PSU’s Carnie Smith Stadium for the Southeast Kansas Regional Track Meet.

Kobear Smith: second in javelin, first in standing long jump
Jacob Catron: first in standing long jump, third in 50-meter race
Nick Stogsdill: third in javelin, second in softball throw
Kason Botts: second in 200-meter race, fifth in running long jump
Enzy Mynat: fifth in javelin, fourth in softball throw, third in running long jump
Xavior Burrow: third in softball throw, fourth in javelin
Aiden Fraker: first in softball throw, third in 100-meter race
Keegon Hedman: second in 50-meter race, third in softball throw
Jaden Smith: second in softball throw, second in 100-meter race
Gavin Doolittle: second in 25-meter race, third in shot put
Kyle Schmidt: fourth in running long jump, fourth in javelin
Heidi Hibbs: second in 50-meter race, first in tennis ball throw
