Humboldt senior Dagen Goodner put ink to paper Tuesday morning, cementing his academic and athletic future when he signed his national letter of intent to play football at Bethel College in Newton. Goodner was a first-team All-Tri-Valley League quarterback this past season and a second team linebacker who helped lead the Cubs to the 2A sub-state title game and to a school record of 11 wins. Goodner also is a three-time state tournament qualifying wrestler and will be a leading force in Humboldt baseballs effort to make a return trip to the state tournament this season.
