Blake Ashmore of the Iola AA Indians evades a high-and-tight pitch in a game Thursday against the Garnett American Legion squad at Iolas Riverside Park. Ashmore doubled one pitch later, and then scored in the Post 15 Indians 9-8 victory.
The win keeps Iolas record spotless at 9-0 on the season. Individual statistics from the contest were unavailable by press time.
Iolas other American Legion Squad, the A Indians, will travel to Garnett today for a tournament. The A squad carries a 4-2 record into this weekends action.
