I favor a remodel of Allen County Hospital.
But instead of putting the issue to a formal vote, I suggest commissioners conduct a volunteer mail-in vote in order to save money.
Commissioners could set a deadline by which Allen Countians could mail in their preferences for the future of the hospital.
Choices would be either to remodel or build a new hospital.
All decisions would be mailed directly to the courthouse.
The newspaper could publish the results.
For those who don’t read the Register, the radio station could also broadcast the news.
