Exciting results: Seventy-nine units of blood were drawn Wednesday from 85 donors at the Community Blood Center bloodmobile at the North Community Building. What a wonderful day for all.
A celebration of a Community Star Award was shared with T-shirts and a cake from our own Renee’s Bakery (everyone says the cakes from Renee’s are the very best), as well as photos and a glass blood drop representing the donors’ commitment and dedication to the drives held at the North Community Building sponsored by the Allen County Hospital Auxiliary.
The hospital auxiliary is very grateful to the dedicated and committed donors of the area.
Faithful workers for the drives include Ruby Davis, Evelyn Lay, Shirley Robertson, Norma Barclay, Wilma Haen and B. Ellen Smith, chair.
Auxiliary volunteers also call donors prior to drives and send cards and e-mail reminders. When donors have questions, volunteers research and supply the answers.
