Alcohol at the Bowlus? Oh, my goodness! The Bowlus has always been one of the nicest places in Iola, maybe in the county. Why in the world would you want to put a black mark on it by allowing alcohol within?
And the Chamber of Commerce? What is the point of allowing alcohol? I mean, really! What’s the point? There are good beverages, iced tea, Coke, a nice tall glass of lemonade. And they don’t stink. So why alcohol?
Why encourage people to drink?
Drinking alcohol causes so much trouble and problems. Just last week the paper reported a drinking dad driving his car into the river, killing himself and his helpless little child.
It’s just easier to go downhill, isn’t it?
