The Iola Community Theatre appears to be experiencing a rebirth thanks to a handful of new faces.

This past weekend’s production of “Clue,” featured about 10 new cast and stage crew members. The play was a delight and skillfully done.

And, of course, the Bowlus Fine Arts Center raises the experience of any production a notch higher.

All three performances attracted healthy size audiences. And when the house lights came back on, the smiles reached ear to ear, reminding us of how beneficial the arts are to the soul.

We need theater, music, dance and art. And to experience them together is all the better.

Kudos to ICT veterans for encouraging new members of the community to come aboard. The new talent allows for a wider range of productions and added depth.

The 2022-2023 season at the Bowlus is underway.

Make sure you take advantage of the “jewel” in Iola’s crown.
