21 The Iola Junior College is now a fully accredited institution of higher learning, according to Joe W. Ostenberg, superintendent of schools, from the State Board of Education. The accreditation is based upon the findings of Dr. William Black, head of the department of education at the State Teachers College, Pittsburg, and F. Floyd Herr, director of certification and college accreditation, state board of education, Topeka, who visited the junior college yesterday. The college was opened last fall but under the state law it could not be fully accredited until in operation for several months.
