Mike Russell, president of Iola Broadcasting Co., Inc., took over ownership of radio station KALN. Russell will devote his time to sales and to the morning show. He said Welcome Stanton will continue as station manager and all other station employees will be retained.

HUMBOLDT Tornado-like wind storms lashed through the area on Sept. 24, destroying the Gypsy Campers Sales building and the nearby mobile home two miles south of Humboldt. Citizens here were without power for 7.5 hours when power lines were severed in two locations.
