Wyatt J. Stevens, 54, of Westphalia died Sunday, July 17, 2011, at his home.
He was born on March 29, 1957, in Red Bluff, Calif. The family moved to the Moran area in 1968.
Following high school Wyatt traveled and worked in oil fields.
In January 1984, he married Janet Edwards.
He was employed as a truck driver from 1987 until 2007 when health issues forced his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and the outdoors. After his retirement, he traveled with his wife following her career in the nuclear field. He especially enjoyed visiting Arizona.
He is survived by his wife of Westphalia; two sons, Bradley Stevens, Iola, and Michael Lacrone, Neosho Falls; three daughters, Rachel Stevens and Laura Stevens, Westphalia, and Elizabeth Moore, Rocky Ford, Colo.; his mother, Violet Stevens, Iola; two brothers, Matt, Vernon, and Tim, Humboldt; a sister, Teena Solander, Gas; and 10 grandchildren.
His father, Joe Sr., and a brother, Joe Jr., died earlier.
His body has been donated to scientific research. Cremation will follow at a later date.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at RiverTree Christian Church. B.J. Solander will officiate.
