Wilberta L. Morrison, 87, Iola, passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2015, at Allen County Regional Hospital.
Wilberta was born March 30, 1928 in Elsmore, the daughter of William Edward and Georgia (Swanson) Ludlum. She grew up on the family farm west of Elsmore and attended Skyrocket Rural School. She graduated from Elsmore High School in 1946, and attended Iola Junior College and Pittsburg State University. She taught school in Allen County for three years.
On May 8, 1949, Wilberta married Max Parker Morrison at Friends Home Lutheran Church at Savonburg. They farmed at rural Moran until 1975 when they moved to California. In 1980 they moved to Iola. Max preceded her in death April 24, 2006.
She was a member of Moran United Methodist Church and Morion Chapter OES, Moran. She was a former Sunday School teacher and 4-H leader.
Survivors are her daughter Susan Young, Iola; two grandsons, Michael Sager and wife, Stephanie of Spring, Texas and Cheyne Sager and wife, Eva, Pittsburg; four great-grandchildren, Will, Ella, Alyssa and McKenzie; and one brother, Max D. Ludlum, Elsmore.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Rullif and Joe Dean Ludlum, and sisters Frances Ludlum, LaVerne L. Thompson and Betty L. Jackson.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, at Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola.
Burial will be at Moran Cemetery, Moran.
