Vanessa Owens-Waller, 45, Osage City, passed away Sunday, Aug. 31, 2014, after a battle with cancer. Vanessa was born July 16, 1969, in Chanute, the daughter of George Bearden and Verna Owens. She attended Chanute High School.
Vanessa married Jeremy Waller in 1995. He survives. Other survivors include sons, Daniel Waller and Devin Waller; daughter, Tamia Waller, all of Osage City; mother, Verna Owens; brother, Russell Owens; and sister, Rosemary Moore, all of Iola. She was preceded in death by her father; sister, Regina Brooks; and brother, Todd Owens.
She was a homemaker and devoted wife and mother. She loved spending time with her family. Her beautiful smile and warm heart will be missed. Cremation has taken place.
