Timothy Shane McDermeit, 39, Iola, passed away Sunday, Nov. 6, 2016.
He was born Aug. 2, 1977, in Wheatridge, Colo., the son of Douglas and Lauralee (Fox) McDermeit. The family moved to Iola in 1979. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Clifford and Waunita McDermeit, Richard and Enaze Fox and his father, Douglas.
Tim is survived by his mother, Lauralee McDermeit; his daughters, Lauren, Hallie and Madelynn; his brother Patrick; aunt Linda McDermeit; and uncle Rickey Fox.
Timothy was a 1995 graduate of Iola High School. He loved the outdoors to include hunting, fishing and camping. He spent his adult years as a machinist in the Allen County area. Many say there was nothing he couldn’t do. He touched a lot of lives in his time on earth. He will truly be missed by all.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at First Presbyterian Church in Iola. Inurnment will follow in the Colony Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the McDermeit Family Scholarship Fund at Community National Bank & Trust and may be left with the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service in Iola.
