Wanda “Sue” Edwards, age 81, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2021, at her home in Neosho Falls.
Sue was born Sept. 22, 1939, to Lawrence C. and Audrey A. (Baker) Horn in Iola. She graduated from Iola High School with the class of 1957.
Sue married Charles Edwards on Oct. 6, 1957, in Iola. Their union was blessed with two children, Teresa and David.
Sue loved to garden and pull weeds. You could find her in the kitchen making extraordinary meals for her family. She was an avid lover of country and gospel music. She also loved to sew, read, and was known for being very crafty. Her grand- and great-grandchildren meant the world to her!
Sue is preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Helen Faye Miller, Richard Dale Horn and Ronald Horn.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Charles Edwards; children, Teresa Edwards and David Edwards (Janelle); nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous other family members and friends.
Services to honor Sue’s life will take place at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 19, at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service in Iola. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery in Iola. Family will greet friends from 5 p.m to 7 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 18, in The Venue at the funeral home. Masks will be required for all services.
