Shirley (McNett) Wood, 83, Kansas City, Mo., died Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2015, at St. Joseph Hospital in Kansas City.
Funeral mass was Friday.
Shirley was born to Jack and Madge McNett in Piqua on Nov. 23, 1932. In 1950, she moved to Kansas City and met the love of her life, Harry Wood, and married in 1952.
She was predeceased by her parents, Jack and Madge McNett; her husband, Harry Wood; and her son, Greg Wood. She is survived by daughters, Kathy School (Garrel) of Wakarusa; Debra McGuffey of Raytown, Mo., Terri Dowdy (Rob) of Olathe and Bonnie Davis of Lee’s Summit, Mo.; brothers, Thelbert (Mary) McNett and J.C. (Carolyn) McNett; sister, Delores (Ernie) Miller; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
