Sherri Renee Tucker, 53, Taylor, Neb., passed to our Lord on Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2017, at the Cancer Treatment Center of America in Tulsa. She was born in Visilia, Calif., on Sept. 28, 1963, to the marriage of Michael E. Casper and Marilyn F. Jones.
She has two sisters, Michelle Baker and husband Tim, British Columbia, Canada, and Maggie Munoz, Portland, Ore..
She moved to Moran after attending school in Visilia, Calif.
She married twice, producing five children, John J. Covey and wife Christina, Wichita, Michael E. Covey and wife Mindy, Humboldt, of her first marriage; Ryus Tucker, Burwell, Neb., Katelyn Bennett, Kearney, Neb., and Shiann Tucker, Taylor, Neb., of her second marriage.
She is survived by her five children; husband Dewey Tucker; seven grandchildren; her father Mike Casper and wife Luverne; half-brother James Casper, Moran; her mother, Marilyn Richardson and husband Don; her half-brother, Brandon Richardson, Springfield, Ore.; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was a devoted Christian, loving mother, and enjoyed gardening and canning, in addition to nurturing her family. She served her community.
After attending college in Allen County and Oklahoma, she served as a census agent, school substitute teacher and had very successful career with Tupperware Sales.
Sherri will be buried in Nebraska at her favorite church. The Hitchcock Funeral Home in Burwell, Neb., is in charge of her services. Her family wishes to thank all of you for your love and support. In lieu of flowers, any help given to the cure of cancer would be appreciated.
