Sharon Kay Trester, 64, of LaHarpe died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2010, at her home.
She was born May 13, 1946, in Wichita, to Charles and Edith Lavon (Hudlin) Burkholder Sr. She grew up in the Wichita area.
She married Glen Barnes and they lived in Wichita until moving to Iola in 1976 and to Cheney in 1979. They were divorced.
She moved to LaHarpe in 1992 and married Ivan Trester on Sept. 7, 1994. They made their home in LaHarpe. She worked for Russell Stover Candies until her health failed.
She is survived by her husband of the home; a son, Jeff Burkholder and his wife, Brenda, Cheney; two daughters, Teresa Lindabury and her husband, Earl, Cheney, and Sherry Valadez and her husband, Carlos, Tulsa, Okla.; three brothers, George Burkholder and Jon Burkholder, Park City, and Ricky Burkholder, Branson, Mo.; four sisters, Betty Cox, Marla Barnes, Rhonda Ortega and Charlene Shoemaker, all of Wichita; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A son, Michael “Mike” Barnes, and a brother, Charles “Chuck” Burkholder Jr., died earlier.
Cremation has taken place.
Graveside inurnment services will be at a later date at Fairview Cemetery in Mildred.
