Sandra Elaine “Sandy” Brunner, 59, Yates Center, passed away Wednesday morning, July 15, 2015, at Via Christi St. Francis Hospital in Wichita.
She was born Nov. 9, 1955, in Yates Center, the daughter of Raymond Levan and Barbara Joan (Jones) Robinson.
She spent her childhood in Buffalo, and graduated from Altoona-Midway High School.
In 1975 she and Douglas Bailey were married. They became the parents of a daughter, Jeanne. They lived in various locations following his service in the military. They were later divorced.
Sandy moved back to Yates Center in 1985 and on June 2, 1990, she and David Lee Brunner were married.
Sandy had been employed by Walmart in Chanute and Iola before her retirement.
She was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Yates Center. In her leisure time she like to crochet and she enjoyed watching HGTV.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara, on Dec. 20, 2013.
She leaves her husband, Dave, of the home; her daughter, Jeanne Rudolph and husband Donald, Lebo; three step children, David Brunner, Jr., John Brunner, and Sarah Turner; four grandchildren, Samuel Eagle and Patricia, Caleb, and Daniel Rudolph; her father, Raymond Robinson, Neosho Falls; her sister, Jenifer Stone, Wichita; her brother, Steven Robinson, Yates Center; many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, at First Baptist Church in Yates Center. Burial will follow in Yates Center Cemetery.
The family will meet with friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at Campbell Funeral Home in Yates Center.
Memorial contributions may be made to “Friends For Life” and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
