Rosa A. Hansen of Iola, passed away peacefully at her son’s home in Arvada, Colo., on March 9, 2020. She was born on Oct. 15, 1933, in Iola. She was a dedicated wife, wonderful mother, enjoyed quilting, embroidery, sewing, and gardening.
She was a member of First Christian Church in Iola and devoted her life to Jesus Christ.
Rosa and her husband raised their family in North Platte, Neb. and were members of the Messiah Lutheran Church. They retired in Iola in 1995.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, James G. Hansen of Arvada, Colo.; son, Tim Hansen and partner Kevin Davis of Arvada, Colo.; son, Eric Hansen, and wife Cabrina Hansen of North Platte, Neb.; daughter, Cindy (Hansen) and husband Dewayne Walters of Henderson, Neb. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, David Cramer of Humboldt, sister Mary Cramer (Henderson) of Elsmore, and sister May Cramer (Jackson) of Mound City; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Lucille Cramer of Iola, daughter Sharon Hansen (Fisher) of Iola, sister Roberta Cramer (Jackson) of Mound City, sister Lenora Cramer (Stanford) of Iola, sister Carolyn Cramer (Morris) of Iola.
Rosa was cremated in Denver, Colo. Services will be at the First Christian Church in Iola will be announced at a later date.
