Ronald Clay Caler, 56, Iola, died Sunday, March 29, 2015, at Windsor Place Nursing Center in Iola.
He was born Nov. 4, 1958, in Iola, the son of Dale J. and Phyllis N. (Durkin) Caler. He graduated from Iola High School, Allen County Community College and Pittsburg State University. Ronald made his home in Iola most of his life. He enjoyed art work and did a lot of paintings. He was fond of all animals but cats were his favorite.
He is survived by a brother, Bruce Caler, Topeka; a sister, Janet Thompson and husband Robert, Iola; a nephew, Bryan Frame, and two nieces, Amanda and Courtney Frame; a great-nephew, Braeden Frame, and a great-niece, Kaydance Frame.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Roger.
Family and friends will meet at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Memorial Chapel for a time of visitation before leaving for 11 o’clock graveside service at Highland Cemetery in Iola.
