Robert Dean Chriestenson, 66, of Neosho Falls, passed away March 18, 2025, at his residence. Robert was born March 30, 1958, in Iola, to Charley Chriestenson and Juanita (Bushman) Chriestenson.
Robert attended school in Neosho Falls and later in Yates Center. Robert spent most of his years working oil fields around Neosho Falls. He also owned The Last Chance bar in Neosho Falls, where he met Deborah Jurgeson, and they were later married on Sept. 16, 1983, in Neosho Falls.
Robert was known for his strict work ethic, his kindness and generosity, and mentoring others. He never met a stranger and was always willing to extend a helping hand.
Robert enjoyed gardening, his oil fields, fishing, traveling, and cooking. Robert loved his grandchildren more than anything. He never missed an event for his grandchildren.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; wife; sisters, Charlene German, Linda Bruner; nephews, Nick Brown and Benjamin Burk; nieces, Krista Bruner-Grogg, Jamie Glaze-Ellis, and brother-in-law, Bob Schuster.
Robert is survived by son, Trenton (Regina) Chriestenson; grandchildren, Taylor and Elizabeth Chriestenson; sisters, Patricia Schuster, Jan (Ed) Eckroat, Glenda (Nathan) Brown, Sheryl (Leon) Valentine, Lorena (Mo) Salami; brothers-in-law, Wayne German, Mike (Carol) Bruner; and numerous other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m.. Tuesday, March 25, in The Venue at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 1883 U.S. 54, Iola. A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service. Burial will follow in Cedarvale Cemetery, Neosho Falls.
