Richard Boniface Setter, 76, died Monday, Oct. 11, 2010, at Ironwood Health and Rehabilitation Center in South Bend, Ind.
He was born Dec. 6, 1934, in Humboldt, to Henry L. Setter and Helen Wagner. He graduated in 1952 from Wea High School and served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1954 to 1958. He was part owner of Setter’s Pizza on South Michigan Street in South Bend for many years until it closed. He worked for Notre Dame and then Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center until his retirement in 2005. He was a member of Our Lady of Hungary Church.
Surviving are his mother, Helen (Wagner) Setter, South Bend; his brother, Henry, Largo, Fla.; a nephew, Brian and his wife, Pam Setter, Clearwater, Fla.; a niece, Diane Setter Trumbull and her husband, Steve, Bradenton, Fla.; a great-niece and many cousins in Allen, Anderson and Woodson counties.
His father and a sister-in-law, Sally (Payton) Setter, died earlier.
Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Friday at Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 S. Kemble Ave., South Bend. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Our Lady of Hungary Church. Burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery.
