Reta M. (Wilson) Jacobs, 88, of Lawrence, grandmother of Clint Breithaupt of Iola, died Sunday, July 11, 2010, at her home.
She was born May 22, 1922, in Lawrence, to Clarence E. and Della Mae (Hatch) Wilson.
She was a homemaker and worked at the Social and Rehabilitation Services office for 20 years.
She was a member of The Order of Eastern Star and The Order of the White Shrine. She also attended North Lawrence Christian Church.
On June 12, 1941, she married Arthur R. “Jake” Jacobs in Lawrence. He died March 4, 1994.
Survivors include a son, Earl “Ed” and his wife, Sonja; two daughters, Linda Helton and her husband, Myrl, and Connie Kesinger and her husband, Kevin, all of Lawrence; a brother, Wiley Wilson and his wife, Marie, Lawrence; additional grandchildren, Angela and Steve Strum, Lisa and Kevin Jones, Mark and Gwendolyn Jacobs, Lori and Hayden Fowler, Kyle Kesinger and Casey Kesinger; 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Two sisters, Evelyn Wilson and Ruth Philips, died earlier.
Graveside services for will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Memorial Park Cemetery in Lawrence.
