Ramona Rohr

Ramona Elaine Rohr, age 72, passed away Saturday, Aug. 31, 2019 at Allen County Regional Hospital surrounded by her family.

Ramona, or as some would call her Mona, was born at St. John’s Hospital in Iola, to Virgil E. Hufferd and Vesta L. Farnsworth on May 10, 1947. Ramona grew up in Elsmore and Colony graduating from Elsmore High School in 1965. She married Neal Ray Rohr on Nov. 26, 1966 in Iola. From that union they were blessed with three children, Brenda, Karen and Chris.

Ramona enjoyed reading romance novels, researching family geneology, and spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Ramona was preceded in death by her parents and stepmother Katheleen.

Ramona leaves behind her beloved husband, Neal; her children, Brenda Cooper and her husband Craig of Colony, Karen Rohr of Iola, Chris Rohr and his wife Ann of Raytown, Mo.; four sisters, Susie Gillham, Sandy Coday, Shelia Mcadam, Kathy Brakel; six grandchildren, Megan, Robert, Suzanna, Krystal, Evan and Leo; and four great-grandchildren, Kaylin, Andrew, Mikiyah and Harper.

Cremation has taken place upon her wish. A private family celebration of life will be at a later date. The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorials be left with Brenda at P.O. Box 25, Colony KS 66015 to defray expenses. Arrangements have been entrusted to Countryside Funeral Home of Humboldt.
