Phyllis M. Loveland, 93, died Dec. 18, 2014, in Kansas City, Kan.
She was born Nov. 19, 1921, in LaHarpe, the daughter of Arthur and Dorothy Nicholas. She was active in 4-H Club and Extension work. She married Jewel E. Loveland on Dec. 28, 1941. They farmed for 15 years before moving to Kansas City in 1960. She worked 24 years for Allstate Insurance and retired in 1985, and moved back to LaHarpe. She was a member of the LaHarpe Methodist Church, LaHarpe Homemakers EHU, HY Club, LaHarpe Methodist Women and the Order of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jewel Loveland, in 2009. Phyllis is survived by her twin brother, Phillip Nicholas, Lake San Marcos, Calif.,; son, Martin Loveland and wife Karen, Gladstone, Mo.; daughter Nancy Lanham and husband Eugene, Centerville; grandchildren Scott Price, wife, Corey and two sons, Peculiar, Mo., Jenny Golden and husband Mike and two daughters, Kansas City, Kan., Dan Lanham, Leavenworth, Elizabeth Evans and a daughter, Hot Springs, Ark., James Lanham, Bonner Springs, Julie Lanham and two sons, Wichita.
