Deloris “Pauline” Krokstrom, 93, Elsmore, passed away Friday, Nov. 1, 2013, at Moran Manor.
Pauline was born Feb. 10, 1920, at rural LaHarpe, the daughter of Frank and Lela (Laver) Brooks.
On Sept. 3, 1941, she married Orville B. Krokstrom in Iola. They made their home at Elsmore after he was discharged from the service following World War II. He preceded her in death March 3, 1970. She worked as a cook at the Elsmore School until it closed.
Survivors include one grandson, Michael L. Krokstrom, Humboldt; one great-granddaughter, Darylann P. Krokstrom, Humboldt; one great-great-granddaughter, Andromeda Krokstrom, Humboldt.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son Darrell Leon Krokstrom in 1971, four brothers Loren, Ardell, Cecil and Alva Brooks; and three sisters Bonnie Kinman, Georgia Brixey and Lola Mailes.
Family and friends will meet at 1 p.m. Wednesday, at the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola for visitation before leaving for the Elsmore Cemetery where graveside services will be at 2 p.m.
Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Memorial Chapel of Iola is in charge of arrangements.
