Nina D. Ewing, 77, of Iola died Friday, Jan. 22, 2010, at Allen County Hospital in Iola.
She was born Sept. 4, 1932, in Jewell County, the daughter of Albert M. and Ida M. (Schoen) Cameron. At the age of 4, she moved to Iola with her parents.
In 1950, she married Orville Zornes. They were divorced. She married Leonard Bonczkowski in 1958 and they divorced. In 1969, she married Leonard Ewing. They made their home in Iola. He died May 29, 1999.
She worked with Commissioner Bob Huskey and drove the senior citizen bus for Allen County for 14 years.
She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Iola. She enjoyed her pets, music, reading and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her daughters, MeLinda Tindel and her husband, Kelley, Iola, Kansas, JoAnn Ludlum, Tina Luma and Chastity Suchy; five stepchildren, Floyd Ewing and his wife, Margie, Stella, Mo., Jess Ewing and his wife, Beverly, Iola, Eddie Ewing and is wife, Evelyn, and Eula May Spurgeon and her husband, Bill, Chanute, and Myra Lou Grizzle and her husband, Darrell, Wellington; 36 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Grace Lutheran Church in Iola. The Rev. Bruce Kristalyn will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery in Iola.
