Nicole Kaylee Sigg, 25, of Iola died Friday, Feb. 19, 2010, at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City.
She was born Nov. 19, 1984, in Fort Scott and grew up in Iola where she attended school. She had completed the certified nurse’s aide program at Neosho County Community College in Chanute.
She is survived by three sons, Karson Sigg, 6, Keaton Gott, 4, and Konner Gott, 2; her parents, Dan and Jan Sigg, Iola, and Carla and Jim Metcalfe, Chanute; siblings, Austin Daniel Sigg, Taci Fletcher, Mikki Lawrence, Carrie Love, Emma Sigg, Ethan Sigg, Evan Sigg, Mandy Metcalfe and Russell Metcalfe; grandparents, Joe and Edna Elmenhorst, Moran, Donald and Gerry Bain, Iola, and John and Nicole Metcalfe, Spencer, Iowa; and numerous nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles.
Her grandparents, Victor and Nellie Sigg, and her uncle and godfather, David Sigg, died earlier.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at St. John’s Parish Center in Iola.
Parish Rosary will be recited at 10 a.m. Tuesday followed by Mass at 10:30, both at St. John’s Catholic Church in Iola. The Rev. Robert B. Wachter will be celebrant. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery in Iola.
Memorials to an education fund for her sons, with checks made payable to Austin D. Sigg, may be left at Waugh-Yokum and Friskel Memorial Chapels of Iola, which is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences for the family may be left at iolafuneral.com.
