Maxine Schoonover, 87, Stark, died Friday, Jan. 26, 2018, at her home.
She was born to Daniel Ira and Violet (Parret) Schneeberger on Jan. 22, 1931, in Caldwell. On Sept. 20, 1947, she married George Schoonover in Iola.
Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, George, on May 17, 2004; daughter Judy Cooper on Nov. 14, 2003; and her parents; one half-sister and one half-brother.
She is survived by two daughters, Jean (Leon) George, Savonburg, and Helen LaShay, Wichita; five grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and four half-brothers and one half-sister, all of Oklahoma.
Visitation is 6-8 p.m. today at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, Moran. Funeral services are at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Stark Friends Church in Stark. Burial will follow at Mount Moriah Cemetery, Savonburg. Memorials to Stark Friends Church or West Cherry Animal Hospital, Chanute, may be left with the funeral home.
