Mary A. Cleaver, 64, Iola, died Monday, May 4, 2015, at her home.
Mary was born Oct. 8, 1950, in Humboldt, the daughter of Walter Marion and Lucille Inez (Heimberg) Pollet. The family moved to Iola where she married John C. Cleaver on Oct. 18, 1968. They lived in Iola, Arma, and Moran before moving to Wichita where they lived for 35 years. In Wichita, she worked for USD 259 as an assistant secretary for over 20 years. They returned to Iola a year ago to make their home.
She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors are her husband John Cleaver of the home; two sons, Mark Cleaver and fiancé Heather Mejia, Iola, and John C. Cleaver, Jr., Wichita; daughter Michelle Heller and husband, Russ, Wichita; two brothers, Terry Pollet and wife, Betty, Tulsa, Okla., and Rex Pollet and wife, Katrina, Delphos; three sisters, Vicky Arnold, Patricia Ratcliff, and Cindy McKenney and husband, Mark all of Fort Scott; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 4 p.m., Thursday, at Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola. Visitation will follow the service.
