Mary Ann Mann, 84, Iola, passed away Saturday, April 22, 2017 in Iola.
She was born Dec. 27, 1932, in Iola to Floyd C. and Clara (Brown) Smith. She graduated from Iola High School.
Mary Ann worked for 27 years for the Southeast Kansas Library System, and was instrumental in starting the Interlibrary Loan system.
On Sept. 23, 2000, she married the love of her life, Edward M. Mann. He preceded her in death on Nov. 4, 2016.
Her greatest joy in life was following her kids and grandkids in all of their activities. She never missed anything that her kids participated in. She was an avid sports fan and loved her KU Jayhawks.
Throughout her life she was involved in Iola Music Club, Iola Community Theatre, Vespers, ACCC Booster Club, and enjoyed playing in various bridge groups.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband Ed, her parents and several aunts and uncles.
She is survived by her five children; Tony Leavitt and wife Barb, Iola, Terry Coomes and husband Rick, St. Paul, Tina Stanley and husband Jack, Lane, Martin Taylor and wife Janalin, Las Vegas, and Michael Taylor and wife Terry, Iola; a sister, Peggy Osborn, husband Tom and two nephews, Overland Park; a stepson, Tim Mann, wife Elaine and two children, Largo, Fla.; 12 grandchildren, Bobby Leavitt and Staci Hudlin, Aaron Coomes, Adam Coomes and Abby Born, Shawn Stanley, Scott Stanley, Kylie Taylor, Toni Taylor, Brett Taylor, Erika Taylor and Corey Taylor; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Visitation at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service of Iola will be tonight from 7 to 8. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Wesley United Methodist Church in Iola.
