Marvin L. Dozier, 73, of Iola died Monday, Dec. 20, 2010, at his home.
He was born June 7, 1937, in Garnett, to Clarence Victor and Lila Fern (Diedel) Dozier. He graduated from Elsmore High School and served in the U.S. Army for three years.
On July 2, 1961, he married Marilyn Raney. They made their home in various communities before moving to Iola in 1984. He owned and operated M & M Used Furniture and Appliance on the east side of the square until his retirement.
He enjoyed making and displaying Christmas decorations.
He is survived by his wife of the home; three sons, Joe and his wife, Shelly, Lawrence, Mark and his wife, Patty, Iola, and Kirk and his wife, Cheryl, Pomona; a brother, Mike, Nevada, Mo.; a sister, Irene Cox, Wichita; a stepbrother, Bill Roach, Abilene, Texas; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A brother, Vic, died earlier.
Cremation has taken place.
