Marjorie Lois Pruitt, 87, Iola, died Friday, Aug. 5, 2011, at Fountain Villa in Iola, where she has resided the past 11 years.
She was born August 15, 1923, in Iola, the daughter of Jackson Leroy and Edith J. (Sanders) Sigler. She grew up in Iola. On Jan. 11, 1941, she married Lonnie Pruitt. They made their home in Iola. He preceded her in death on Feb.. 20, 1990.
She was a homemaker, wife and mother and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
She is survived by two daughters, Connie Lester, Chanute, and Shirley Adams and her husband, Homer, Colony; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Russell and Dale Sigler.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Iola. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery in Iola.
