Margaret Ellen Myers, 89, of Rose Hill and formerly of Elsmore died Friday, Aug. 13, 2010 at her home.
She was born July 13, 1921, near Humboldt, to Leslie and Fern (Dewey) Baker. She was a graduate of Elsmore High School. During World War II she worked at the Kansas Army Ammunition Plant in Parsons.
On April 6, 1947, she married Arthur A. Myers in Chanute. He died Aug. 2, 1999.
She attended Elsmore United Methodist Church and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by two sons, Leslie and his wife, Cheryl, and Wayne and his wife, Diane, all of Derby; four grandchildren, Stacey, Kristi, Nathan and his wife, Amanda, and Matt; one great-grandson; and a brother, Kenneth Baker, Houston, Texas.
A sister, Elnora Adams, died earlier.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Elsmore United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in Elsmore Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service in Moran.
