Margaret Eva (King) Mueller, 90, passed away at Heritage Healthcare in Chanute on Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015. Margaret was born on Sept. 16, 1924, in Humboldt, the daughter of Charlie and Etta Faye (Clark) King. She was raised in Humboldt, attending Humboldt schools and graduating from Humboldt High School.
Margaret King and Ernest Mueller fell in love and married and had four children in Humboldt. She was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Humboldt.  
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ernest; a son, Ernest R. Mueller; and three sisters, Minnie Mueller, Mary King and Erma Jo Barnett.
She is survived by two sons, Rodney, Humboldt, and Bruce and wife Mary, Chanute; a daughter, Lora and husband Al Jesseph, Chanute; a brother, Charles and wife Dorothy, Wyoming; a brother-in-law, Charles Mueller and wife Carol, Louisburg; nine grandchildren and a host of great- and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Margaret are planned for 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Humboldt. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery. Visitation is planned prior to the service, from 1 to 2 p.m., at the church.
The family suggests memorials in Margaret’s memory be made to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church and sent in care of Countryside Funeral Home, 101 N. Highland, Chanute, KS 66720. Online condolences may be left at www.countrysidefh.com.
