Luella Mae Jones Aydelotte, 80, Iola, died Wednesday July 30, 2014, at the Kansas Heart Hospital in Wichita. She was born November 14, 1933, in Jasper County, Mo., the daughter of Hosea A. and Jessie P. (Berry) Seeber.
Mae grew up in Oronogo, Mo. On August 27, 1950, she married Robert H. “Bob” Jones and they made their home in Iola. She worked in the kitchen at Allen County Hospital for 14 years and then for six years at the Greenery before retiring. Mr. Jones preceded her in death on August 30, 1984. On June 18, 1988 she married Robert “Bob” Paxson and he preceded her in death on February 8, 2002. Mae then married Glenn H. Aydelotte on April 7, 2005 and he preceded her in death on December 8, 2010.
She was a member of the Iola Baptist Temple.
Survivors include four sons, Robert E. Jones, Steven Jones, Richard “Bud” Jones and Tim Jones, all of Iola; two stepdaughters, Sheila Williamson, Midland, Texas, and Dee Gibbs of Las Cruces, NM; one sister, Ada Maness, Leon; two grandchildren, 1 step-grandchild and several great-grandchildren.
Family and friends will meet at 1 p.m. Saturday at Waugh-Yokum and Friskel Memorial Chapel for a time of visitation before leaving for graveside services at 2 p.m. in Highland Cemetery.
