Loretta Nadine (Marsh) Sutton was born Jan. 13, 1927, in Iola. Her parents were George W. and Verle Marsh. She died April 11, 2017.
After graduating from Iola High School, she moved to Topeka and worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone in the business office. She returned to Iola and attended Iola Junior college.  There she met and married Calvin L. Sutton, on Aug. 8, 1948.
She was a member of Iola Music Club, Wesley United Methodist Women, director of the Chancel and Children’s Choir, and was also the Nursery director.
Loretta and Calvin owned and operated United Tire Company for 36 years. After retirement, they wintered in Arizona about five years. Upon Calvin’s passing, Nadine took up residence in Mesa, Ariz. There she was active in the Mesa East Red Hat Society, attended Velda Rose United Methodist Church, and was an active choir member.
It was during this time that she developed a passion for Major League Baseball, and was always anxious for March Madness. Whatever city she resided in, that is whom she rooted for, from the Kansas City Royals, to the Arizona Diamondbacks, to the Texas Rangers.
She became a Texas resident in 2012, where she found a new passion for jigsaw puzzles.  Nadine left wonderful memories with everyone she met. Her family was her priority.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin L. Sutton; her daughter, Nancy Sutton Girod; two sisters, Elaine Miles and Fern Marsh; a brother, Marion Marsh; and infant twin grandsons.
Survivors include three daughters, Loretta and husband Rex Ellis and Marilyn and husband Don Sharp, Iola, and Sarah and husband Richard Colvin, Keller, Texas; nine grandchildren, Michelle and husband Larry Toney, Heath and wife Jenny Ellis, Jason Ellis, Karie White and Kevin Ellis, Iola, Jed and wife Erin Sharp, Adrian, Mo., Jessica Sharp, Ottawa, Luanne Girod, Arkansas City; Emily and husband Tyler Bacon, Oklahoma City, and Bridget Colvin, Keller, Texas; nine great-grandchildren, Chase and wife Angela Ellis, Wellsville, Austin Ellis, Lauren and husband Skyler Houk, Colton Toney, Brooklyn and Blake and Brynna Ellis, Iola, Alivia Sharp, Ottawa, and Tucker Sharp, Adrian; one great-great-grandchild, Landon Ellis, Wellsville; and many nieces and nephews and friends.
