Leon Sinclair, 72, Iola, died Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2015, at Allen County Regional Hospital in Iola.
Harold Leon Sinclair was born April 21, 1943, in Iola, the son of Fred E. and Geneva (Walden) Sinclair and lived in Iola all his life. He was working for the Iola Greenhouse when he married Lorena Jantz on July 23, 1961. They had two sons, Floyd and Wesley, and later were divorced.
Leon worked for M&M Packing for close to 30 years. On July 29, 1977, he married Rebecca Long. Leon was working for Allen County when ill health forced his retirement.
Leon enjoyed his horses and mules and liked to rope and go on trail rides. He was a member of the Iola Elks Lodge.
Wife Becky survives, as do two sons, Floyd Sinclair and wife Shelly, LaHarpe, and Wesley Sinclair, Iola; a brother, Jerry Sinclair, Humboldt; two sisters, Shirley Scheer and husband Floyd, Iola, and Barbara Letsinger and husband Carl, Iola; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Johnny, Jackie and Fred Edward Sinclair Jr.; and a sister, Darles Wall.
Cremation has taken place.
A memorial visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Memorial Chapel. Memorials to the Allen County Animal Rescue Facility may be left with the funeral home.
