Kevin Duane Swepston, 55, Iola, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2015 at his home.
Kevin was born Jan. 6, 1960 in Muskogee, Okla., the son of Harold Eugene and Bertie (Vanderpool) Swepston. He grew up in the Hutchinson area, moving to Iola in February 2006. He worked as the pressman for Iola Register Printing.
Kevin was active in Little League and Boy Scouts when his children were growing up. He was a Certified Hunter Safety Instructor.
On Jan. 13, 2006, Kevin married Becky L. Harper. She survives as do three children, Dustin Swepston and wife Eva, Sweden, Sara Swepston, Wichita, and Aaron Swepston, Hutchinson; one brother, Kent Swepston and wife, Steph, Glenpool, Okla.; two sisters, Karen Brown and husband, John, Hutchinson, and Kathy McEwan and husband, Mike, Moran; seven grandchildren, Karic, Kaytlyn, Maddie, Rowan, Harold, Agnes and Avery; many nieces and nephews and his beloved hound, Cleo.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation has taken place.
Memorial visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, at Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola.
A private family inurnment will be at Penwell-Gabel Memorial Park in Hutchinson at a later date.
