Kathy Lacen, 60, of Ada, Okla., died Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012, at a Norman, Okla., hospital.
She was born June 25, 1951, in Kansas City, to Donald W. and Earlene Birdsong Rust. She attended grade school in Kansas City and graduated from Iola High School. She attended Allen County Community Junior College in Iola.
On Aug. 7, 1970, she married Russ Lacen. She and her family moved to Ada in June of 1991 from Valley Center.
Survivors include her husband of the home; three daughters, Chriss Brown and her husband, Aaron, and Tonya Sudduth and her husband, Shane, both of Wichita, and Natalie Haney and her husband, Stephen, Ada; her mother, Earlene Rust, Wichita; a sister, Linda Walter and her husband, Dave, Norfolk, Neb., and their children, Trent Walter and Tara Brown; five grandchildren, Katie and Ben Brown, Austyn and Elizabeth Sudduth and Brittany Haney; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Friday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel in Ada. Dennis Lacen and Todd Lacen will officiate.
Burial will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Highland Cemetery in Iola.
