Funeral services for Jimmy Dean Jones of Humboldt, whose death on Friday was published in Saturday’s Register, were Monday afternoon at the Penwell-Gabel Humboldt Chapel. Cremation followed the service and inurnment was private.
He was born June 15, 1935, in Chanute, to Willis E. and Anna M. (Williams) Jones. He grew up in Buffalo and attended Buffalo High School.
On July 30, 1954, he married Donna Maxwell.
He was a chemical distribution manager for Advanced Chemical Company. He was a member of  Elks and Kansas State Grange. He enjoyed camping, fishing, water skiing, traveling and bowled for 17 years.
Along with his wife Donna, he is survived by a son, Jimmy L. and his wife, Ester, Navarre, Fla.; a daughter, Debra Lake, Humboldt; four grandchildren, Luke and Janie (Jones) Kerr, Anchorage, Alaska, and Joseph and Christina (Jones) Stein, Navarre; and two great-grandchildren.
