John O. Franklin passed away Nov. 3, 2016 in Jupiter, Fla.
He was born to John N. and Virginia Franklin in Iola on April 2, 1951.
He is survived by his daughter Fa Moya and husband David and their son David and daugher Mira; brothers Bob and Tom, stepsisters Jane Barnett and Ann Mayo.
He was a wonderful father and grandfather. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He was a tremendous aviation enthusiast and flew a private plane. He worked in aviation as a career, starting with Beechcraft in Wichita, then with Pratt Whitney, finishing with Sikorsky Aircraft building Blackhawk helicopters. He traveled all over the world.
He lived in Jupiter for the last 20 years.
