Wilma Joan Colvin, age 89, formerly of Humboldt, died Friday, Oct. 20, 2023, at Credo Senior Living, Chanute.
Joan was born May 26, 1934, in Humboldt, to David “Pat” Arland Fugitt and Velma Pauline (Bowen) Fugitt.
She married Ray Colvin on Aug. 9, 1953, in Humboldt.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; step-mother, Wyvona Cahill; a brother, Gilbert “Buster” Arland Fugitt; one step-brother, Raymond “Sonny” Clyde Smith; and one half sister, Patricia Gail Flaugher.
Survivors include her son, David Colvin of Overland Park; daughter, Ann Finley of Chanute; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one sister, Shirley King, Wichita.
The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Venue, Iola. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Mount Hope Cemetery in Humboldt.
Memorials are suggested to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Humboldt.
