James Robert “Jimmy” Kilby, 41, Iola, died Monday, April 11, 2016, at Olathe Medical Center.
Jimmy was born March 15, 1975, in Iola, the son of James and Christine (Goodner) Kilby. He grew up in Iola and graduated from Iola High School in 1994.
On Sept. 22, 1999, Jimmy married Lisa Marie Hay and they have always made their home in Iola. He worked as a carry out and stockman for Country Mart in Iola.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa Kilby of the home; two children, Asha Maria Kilby, 12, and Christopher Allen Kilby, 5; his father, Jim Kilby and his wife, Sharon of Iola; and two sisters, Kaitlynn Kilby and Hannah Kilby, both of Iola.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Christine M. “Chris” Kilby.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola. Inurnment will be in Highland Cemetery in Iola, at a later date.
