Jessie Mary (Shultz) Wood, 92, of Humboldt died Friday, March 19, 2010, at Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center in Chanute.
She was born April 20, 1917, in Woodson County, the daughter of Delano Grover and Bertha Olive (Snider) Shultz.
On Feb. 6, 1935, she married Clarence Albert Wood in Yates Center. He died Feb. 22, 1993.
She was a homemaker and liked to make quilts and sew.
She is survived by a son, Jon and Kathryn, Chanute; a daughter, Mary Liles, Humboldt; six grandchildren, Janet and Kenny Shettler and Cindy and Jim Scaletta, Erie, Kevin Wood, Humboldt, Brian and Sandra Wood, Lansing, Mary and Kenny Lumley, Humboldt, and David Liles, Goddard; 17 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
Three brothers, Robert, George and James Shultz, and a son-in-law, Ernest Liles, died earlier.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Mount Hope Cemetery in Humboldt.
She will lie in state from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday at Penwell-Gabel, Humboldt Chapel.
