Jessie L. Patrick, 92, of Iola died Sunday, Dec. 12, 2010, at Allen County Hospital in Iola.
She was born Dec. 30, 1917, in Wagoner, Okla., to Sigle Arthur and Iva (Ken-nedy) Pru-itt. She grew up in Centerville and graduated from Kincaid High School. Following graduation she moved to Iola and worked at South Street Cafe.
On Jan. 16, 1938, she married DeLane “Pat” Patrick. They made their home in Iola. She worked as a sales clerk for Sears for 20 years, retiring in 1972. He died Feb. 23, 2002.
She was an active member of First Baptist Church in Iola. She enjoyed her church and worked with the Guild Girls, a youth organization, for many years.
She is survived by two daughters. Patricia Rahmeier and her husband, Leonard, Le Roy, and Elaine Caldwell and her husband, Howard, Iola; four grandchildren, Kurt Rahmeier, Diann Hoag, Darrin Caldwell and Danelle Collins; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Two brothers, Burris and Arthur Pruitt, and three sisters, Verna McGraw, Jean Ross and Ruth Thomassan, died earlier.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Memorial Chapel in Iola. Chaplain Lloyd W. Houk will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery in Iola.
